I purchased a 2009 GMC Acadia SLT-2 from a large and well known car dealership. It also had approximately 79,000 miles on it but was purchased in April 2014. Since, I have received more recall notifications in the mail then what should be deemed legal. I mean seriously, after 2-3 I feel someone should step in and assist the customer. Anyway, I have also had the catalytic converter replaced just last year, yes less than two years in and of course it was out of warranty. I’ve also replaced the battery and numerous other things. Now, the transmission is going out (like Spyderman). I’m at 94,000 and the transmission needs replacement. This is a bummer as I am reading that this vehicle’s transmission goes out at around 90,000 miles. This is awful as I am paying a car note on a vehicle I been lost trust in to travel far distances in and now I cannot afford to replace the transmission. Help someone this is not right. I’ve never ever owned any other car before this one that I was afraid to drive. Well, now I cannot drive it or else my engine may lock up. Come on GMC.
