    I took the Pathfinder to a transmission shop in Wodonga. Driving and listening to it the mechanic thinks its a problem with the rear bearings. I could definitely hear the whine when he had the car on the hoist and shifted between PARK and DRIVE. I opted for a rebuilt transmission. Will see what the bill ends up at but I’m expecting around $4000 AUD with labor plus a 10 day turnaround.
