In order to change gears properly, the TCM has to be able to control a number of components including the front brake solenoid valve. If there is an issue with the Nissan FR/B Solenoid Circuit, a P1757 OBDII code will be set.
How Serious is the Code?
The P1757 Nissan diagnostic trouble code is quite serious, and can result in a number of performance related problems.
Symptoms of a P1757 include:
- Erratic transmission behavior
- Abrupt shifts
- Failed shifts

How to Diagnose the Code?
In order to diagnose the P1757 OBD2 code, the wiring and connectors along the transmission wiring harness will need to be inspected for signs of damage and corrosion. The front brake solenoid valve itself will need to be tested using an appropriate OBDII scan tool.
