P0954: Auto Shift Manual Control Circuit Intermittent OBD-II Trouble Code

If your vehicle is equipped with an Autostick transmission / Tiptronic transmission (there are also many other brand specific names), you’re able to control the shift points manually using either a special gate on the shifter, or paddles/buttons on the steering wheel. If there is an intermittent electrical problems on the circuit that is comprised of a transmission shift switch, a mode actuator and a bunch of wires and connectors, a P0954 DTC will be saved by the ECU.
