P0918: Gear Shift Position Circuit Intermittent OBD-II Trouble Code

The gearshift position circuit essentially flows information from the gear shift position sensor/transmission position sensor to the TCM/ECU, to let it know what gear you’ve selected with the shifter. If there is an intermittent problem with the electrical signal on this circuit, the ECU will save a P0918 DTC.
