My 2009 Hyundai Elantra was stuck in snow/ice. I did rock it a lot but finally had to call for a tow to move it. The flatbed driver hooked it up to chain and basically pulled in a circle then a foot (or less) forward without putting in neutral. Now the car will not go over 40mph. Makes a revving noise as the engine speeds up but won’t shift & catch. Starting from stop it revs fast then catches and moves forward. I have 102,000 miles – 2K over warranty which would probably have been void anyway since I didn’t follow service schedule. Is it possible that a “reset” could fix it? I’m still paying for the car and don have funds for repair.
