Having problems shifting to high gear or Overdrive, now its just runs about 20 miles an hour between 3000 to 5000 RPM’s. Having codes popping up right after this tranny problem occurred. Codes are P0154, P0155, P0160, then J1850VPW. The first three are oxygen sensors, but the other I have no real clues what it referring to? Does anyone know what common problems of this particular can give when a transmission problem occurs? 1999 Chevy Silver-ado 1500, Transmission 4L60E type, 5.3 liter. Someone told me it could be a computer or electrical problem. Be there anyone that could tell me something about the history of this line of trucks?

The transmission is one of the most difficult and complicated pieces of machinery inside your car.

My chevy’s 4l60e transmission is slipping on the 2-3 shift. I’m thinking of having it rebuilt but it’s beyond my budget. So I tried to do it myself. I thought I can’t do it on my own but I finished the job and it’s working well, surprisingly.
